Acharavi today is a popular resort offering a wide range of accommodation and facilties.

Supermarkets are abundant and are well stocked with a good choice of internationally branded goods as well as Greek.  You certainly wont have to bring food with you !

They even supply a range of machines, sprays and creams to ensure that the mosquitos (they can be a bit of a pest at times during the season) are kept at bay.

Restaurants:  You will not find it difficult to find somewhere to eat in Acharavi !

Perhaps the biggest difficulty is choosing a restaurant as there are so many.  They all offer a mouth-watering range of meals from traditional Greek (sofrito, stifado, moussaka etc.) to British, Chinese, Italian - the list goes on.  It is said that you can holiday for weeks in Acharavi and eat at a different restaurant every day.

The Pumphouse - Acharavi's oldest restaurant

The Pumphouse restaurant is well known in Acharavi and was established 30 years ago.  Popular with locals and tourists alike.

If you’ve never eaten bread baked in Greece before then you’re in for a tasty surprise!

Fresh Baked Bread

The supermarkets sell sliced loafs for toasting and fresh loafs which smell and taste amazing.  There are no preservatives used in the baking of bread and this is reflected in the taste.

There are plenty of Bars to choose from. Depending on what kind of evening you want, you could choose a lively bar playing all the latest tunes or a more relaxed bar with subtle background music.

Some bars such as the Central Bar are open all day and offer a range of snacks and ice-creams.
